Benefit Concepts Insurance

Benefit Concepts of Arkansas is now on Twitter. Give us a follow and we'll start updating once our website goes live.

Benefit Concepts of Arkansas will be going live late in the Summer of 2011! I'm very excited about the future of our agency. We'll continue to help Arkansans find affordable health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and any other supplemental benefits they might need. Our expertise is in helping Arkansas businesses with their group health insurance and managing benefit plans for their employees.

Founded in 1963, our insurance agency has continued to grow as we have been serving Arkansas for 48 years. In the past decade, our company has become very adept at helping small businesses manage their group health insurance and other group benefit plans. Because of our growth, we wanted our company name to better reflect what we do in that we provide a clearer concept for Arkansans and their health / life benefits.

Until we get our webpage up and running, feel free to stop by and visit us at our new office location which is just north of McCain Mall off of Warden Rd.:

3805 McCain Park Dr., Ste 107
North Little Rock, AR 72116

Phone - 501.268.6152
Fax - 888.501.3620

It's been a while...

Social media has killed my blog. I'd prefer interaction on Twitter, FB, Google+, etc. Maybe one day I'll get back into blogging (when the twins arrive this Fall).

#ARwx - How 4 Little Letters Rocked Twitter

I've spent a lot of time writing and sharing my thoughts over at Keith Crawford's blog... so I'm going to save time and not reinvent the wheel by directing you over there. But first let me give you the rundown.

Going back about a year, a state govt agency began using the hashtag #ARwx as the official standard for all tweets related to severe weather in AR. It has quickly caught on and as of this past weekend it went nuclear during the tornado outbreak in AR. Mainstream media (with the exception of a few superstars) completely missed out on this so we worked to educate them Saturday morning in between rounds of severe weather. It worked... sort of. Some of the local news organizations got it and quickly adapted. Other news outlets... well we're still not sure if they know how to check their @ replies.

All that being said, the first post generated a lot of discussion. Now it's time for a follow-up and you can find that here. As well as some comments by Gardnerrific people.
